THE 7PM PROJECT

Kitty currently appears every Tuesday night on the 7pm Project. As Sydney's self appointed "ambassador" she gives her ill founded opinions on everything from Oprah's visit to the Rugby League State of Origin (see pics and clips) to Early Easter - see clip below:

WARNING FOR THE HUMOURLESS: Please be advised that the following segment was deemed insensitive by the fundamentalist Christian right. There is a special page set up by the good Pastor at "Catch the Fire Ministeries" where you can complain and condemn Kitty to hell should you wish to do so. However, for those who understand that it's just a few jokes about easter eggs being in the shops too early and the general commercialisation of religious and other holidays...please enjoy:

THE CHARMING AND ALARMING TOUR 2010/2011

Nominated in 2010 for a Helpmann Award for Best Live Comedy Show, Charming and Alarming is Kitty's first full length show to tour Australia. The show has enjoyed sellout seasons at all the major festivals in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne and is returning by popular demand to the Melbourne Comedy Festival in April 2011. Also touring regionally throughout Australia for the rest of 2011, C&A is a fast paced evening of cracking stories, funny characters and hard laughs. It features all her "best bits" of standup plus some bonus musical spectacle where she is joined on stage by her talented singer/songwriter sister Penny. Together they close the show with a finale that includes flashing lights, a key change and one killer dance move. See gigs page for tour dates.

OTHER TV

Kitty made her comedy television debut as a writer/performer on the popular Australian sketch comedy show Full Frontal. She has also written for and appeared in The Micallef Programme and The Fifty Foot Show.

Aside from her weekly gig on 7pm she is a regular on Good News Week and also pops up occasionally on Spicks and Specks. In the US, she has appeared on Comedy Central, featuring in several series of The World Stands Up. In the UK, she has been seen on The Comedy Store Live, ITV's The Sketch Show and The BBC Stand Up Show.

CORPORATES

Apart from being able to adapt her act successfully to entertain an absurdly diverse range of corporate audiences from supermarket employees to cynical advertising types to members of the NSW police force, Kitty's current corporate claim to fame is that the Governer General - "Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC" - is a fan. While emceeing an awards night for Engineers, the GG or "the Geej" as K-Flan prefers to call her (although not to her face, obviously) requested that the "curly haired mc" be brought to her table. Naturally Kitty assumed she was in trouble. Au contraire. "The Geej" simply wanted to meet Kitty and tell her how much she was enjoying her shtick - although she probably didn't use that exact word, shtick. At christmas Kitty was delighted to discover she had even made it on to the Geej's christmas card list and she vowed to write something about it on her website...see Musings for more.

WRITING

Kitty has written for several TV shows both in Australia and the UK, including The Sketch Show and Touch Me I'm Karen Taylor.

She currently has a series in development with Sky Television in the UK, a comedy drama series co-written with Julia Davis of Nighty Night fame.

The BBC commissioned a pilot episode of a comedy series, based on her short film.
